Objective : To understand the XSEED methodology of teaching
The day bloomed with positive energy because of Ms. Nandhini’, south region head for Xseed and her team’s innovative game. She conducted an ‘’EYE OPENER’’ game which provoke the importance of eye contact with the kids and viewing the best things from others. She also contributed some valuable points regarding body language, and voice modulation which is also so important for a teacher to hold the students properly.
She introduced XSEED orientation by saying that it is not a syllabus but it is a methodology. Then she elucidated five significant steps of XSEED like Aim, Action, Analysis, Application, Assessment and how to utilize them properly in our classes. Ms. Nandhini clarified the 3 levels of assessment such as exceeding, meeting, and approaching and provided some suggestions to enhance our
correction works by stamping different appreciation marks. By organizing brain storming games related to English grammar classes she aroused some innovative ideas to upgrade our grammar classes. Ms. Nandhini deciphered discussions, and differentiation questions for the late bloomers and smart kids. The importance of content book and its usage was well defined. The utilization of parent journals, max journals and Xseed modules, parent guide were simplified with appropriate illustrations. The day ended with a chuckle-some activity which was hilarious and elicit an idea of ‘’mushrooming rumours’’ by adding our own perspectives into others original words. It was a phenomenal orientation by Ms. Nandhini and team who not only enlighten us about Xseed methodology but awakened us to use certain strategies to design our classes more captivating for our change makers.

When XSEED methodology is instigated in the classrooms, the programme can lead to a much more engaging classroom experience for both students and teachers. Solving higher order questions implicates kids to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom and further exercise their intellectual skills. Queries like these are often challenging to students at first, particularly when they are familiarized to more direct, knowledge-based questions only.
However, I feel that they are generally able to overcome it rather quickly through the daily exercise they get in class and mounting to a challenge can build confidence and “determination” on top of the more evident reasoning skills.
