A Homage to the Ultimate Missile man Dr APJ ABDUL KALAM
From a small town paper boy to a National missile scientist the journey certainly would have been
a long and a tedious one. This man was never complaining, never demanding, never showcased
airs but only had an everlasting smile on his face. All that his family, his friends and
acquaintances, colleagues and students and all the countrymen had to say about him was that he
was a genius at brain but very simple at heart. This man’s demise was a national loss. Every
Indian could feel the loss personally.
Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdin Abdul Kalam always believed in dreaming and in striving to fulfill the
dreams. He was a very down to earth person and was easily accessible by everyone. His demise
was indigestible to each one of us.
Queen Mira International School had paid homage to this great man of simple heart in the school
campus on the 29th of July 2015 from 9 AM to 11.30 AM. The students of Pre KG to Grades 10 had
lit candles as a tribute to his unconditional contribution to the nation and also paid their homage
through flowers. The students and the staff of QMIS had mourned and prayed for the Great soul
to rest in peace.
The shining star had perished but the light of hope that he generated in the hearts of every Indian
would still be bright. This man of excellence had left his last breath doing the best thing he loved
and cherished – i.e lecturing the younger generation who are the future of the nation.
