STEP Junior League – The Grand Carnival
“No child is born great; they are made great”
QMIS and the STEP Junior League 2019 takes great pleasure in creating such great English masterminds this summer. On 15th May, all the dazzling participants were on their feet, preparing for The Grand Carnival. The beautiful day started with a divine prayer song. The day was welcomed by the faculties of QMIS & The HINDU, parents and the participants. A short jist of the 10-day journey was presented by Ms.Sankary, Ms.Roselin (Trainers of the Incredible Indigos),Ms.Krithi and Ms.Yaasmin (Trainers of the Charismatic Crimsons). The trainers mentioned that the aim of the STEP Junior League 2019 was to inculcate and infuse the 3C’s in the children, ie. Creativity, Confidence and Communication. Next, it was the little heroes’ turn to showcase their learning. The young little buds of the block showcased their story telling talent in their unique ways. They succeeded in socialising with their peers and earned a sonorous round of applause from the audience. The seniors of the block conquered the stage to prove their mettle in acting skills, They enacted four mesmerizing skits, with wonderful stories. The trainers gave them a special mention about their incredible creativity, in sculpting their own climaxes for the stories, their exceptional teamwork and commitment in providing property inputs for the skits. All the four skits excelled in their uniqueness.
Talents grow when honoured. Finally it was the recognition time for the little stalwarts of English. The vice-principals Ms.Christinal, Ms.Kalpana and The honourable GM (Finance) Ms.Dharini honoured the children with certificates and mementos. Every joyful day has an eventful end. The grand occasion ended with the not-to-miss groupies and selfies and forgot me not utterances of the kiddos. Parents took their ward’s memory books and workbooks from the workshop to preserve as memoir. Children fared tearful bye to their trainers, friends, teachers and took leave to immerse- in and enjoy their summer holidays.
