“SAFE SENSE DAY-GRADE 1&2-FEB 8”
A Safe Sense Day
“Cleanliness and order are not matters of instinct; they are matters of education, and like most great things, you must cultivate a taste for them” – Benjamin Disraeli.
True to this saying, QMIS has taken upon itself to educate its junior students about personal hygiene by organising the “Safe Sense Day” on Feb 8th 2019. Dr.Megala, an associate of Thembavani Hospital, had graced us with her presence and given a wonderful presentation regarding the same. Our junior leaders, the students of Grade 1 and 2, made up a wonderful audience with their genuine interest and questions.
Personal hygiene is caring for all parts of our body and we need to do it consciously by looking into how to do our day to day cleaning while taking our bath, washing our hands, brushing our teeth, etc., Each day we come into contact with millions of germs and viruses and if we do not take proper care of ourselves we might fall sick. Our children are quite susceptible to this danger than us. So educating them on these will make them aware of the need and the consequences of ignoring the precautions. Dr.Megala let the children know about these in simple terms and beautiful presentation with self-explaining pictures.
