“Age is not how old you are, but how many years of fun you have had”.
The blessings and prayers of grandparents for their children are precious in one’s life. The Almighty gave QMIS an opportunity to owe their love and prayers. We visited the ‘Shelter for Homeless Urban poor’ which is located at Pudhur along with few parents on 29.11.2021. The purpose behind
our visit was to pass on ethical values from our older generation.
The non-profit organisation runs by Mr. Raja accommodates nearly 40 elderly people. The parents and the students extended their love in the form of contributing groceries, toiletries, medicines, snacks and beds to them.
We were overwhelmed with happiness by their hospitality. They made us to realise what our presence meant to them. Though we spend only a few hours with them by us and parents who accompanied with us. The children who connected virtually could feel the warmth and bonding in their heart which they expressed through stories and prayer with full of blessings. Hence it is proven that ‘A pretty face will always grow old. A nice body will change with age. However….. A good soul will always be a good soul’. The visit was a life changing experience as it was filled with many emotions and sentiments along with a bunch of valuable life – lessons for our future generation.
