THE PATH SESSION CONDUCTED BY DCP MR.THIRUNAVUKARASU
“Self Confidence and Self motivation are the two virtues for true success”
On 18th February 2019 Queen Mira International School, took the pride of inviting the honest
and the brave police officer – Deputy Commissioner of police Mr. Thirunavukarasu. He
addressed the student’s community comprising of Grades 9&11 with his motivational thoughts.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Thirunavukarasu stood as a great inspiration and role model to all
the youngsters who want to fight for a cause.
The session started with a 30 sec silent prayer as a tribute to the martyred brave CRPF soldiers of
Pulwana attack. It was followed by video song about thirukural tagging along by the recitation of
40 Thirukurals by two budding students. Then the Director of the institution honored the guest of
the day.
The session geared up with a good interaction of the students with the guest. Mr.
Thirunavukarasu insisted upon how self motivation plays a vital role in life. He quoted a live
example of Ms Lizzie who was supposedly viewed as the ugliest women in the work. With her
life lesson he educated and encouraged the students to be confident and motivated to face
success in life.
He added that the person who wants to achieve something in life should always feel that he is
already in this destination and plan things accordingly. He added further that the person who
creates opportunities in all ways becomes a great man in life. He also talked on the significance
of managing time effectively. He emphasized on reading books everyday to get a wider
knowledge to handle things.
He emphasized that reading thirukural every day or listening to it every day will keep our
thoughts mind fresh. He took a step forward in taking thirukural in young minds in simpler form.
Our school has taken the initiative of playing this “Thirukuralodu Nam” in the campus during
lunch break. He reiterated that there is a solution for every problem and one must face it bravely.
The Interactive session at the end connected the children to the guest more and to a lot of values
to them.
