“ It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the spring,
who reaps a harvest in the autumn”
QMIS did give our graders 2 children a wonderful opportunity to sojourn at the most appropriate farm at
kodikulam and collaborated with such farmers. The weather cuddled us with the flurry of air, and we
reached the farm around 11.15am. As we have directed the children with enough knowledge on farming,
farmers and farm animals, they were eagerly waiting to witness them as concrete evidence. Once we
dropped them they explored the farm and interviewed the farmers about cultivation of vegetables. The
most highlightening part is the heart to heart conversation between the farm hand and our youngling. The
children tongue tasted the vegetables shared by the farmers.
The children could feel the immense divergence from citified to rustic side. The green paddy field, lady’s
finger and Kerala beans were a huge feast for the eyes.
“Eventually our children’s mind were induced to deep thinking about agriculture”
With the hope that more agricultural revolutionist are there in our hand we left the farm reiterating the
Sustainable Development goal – “Life on land”.
