Travel is more than the seeing of sights; It is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living
QMIS provides a great platform for learning, not only for the children but also for the staff. The physical, mental and emotional well being of teachers are taken utmost care of. In order to de stress and to create a platform for understanding the leadership skills, the Middle level management that comprises of the Coordinators and Vice principals along with the Principal, PE team and the Director set off a trip to Sirumalai on 6th of January.
The journey started from the school premises at 06.00am and the destination was reached around 09.30 am.
There were games organized by the PE team in order to insist on the importance of having the leadership skills. After playing each game, the players were asked to comment on the game to understand their learning from the game. As all the coordinators and the Vice principals were the players, the Principal and the Director were observers who shared their views on the players and also suggested the areas for improvement.
There were two games which almost took 5 hours that made the team mentally and physically get tired as it involved a lot of thinking and learning. A scrumptious lunch was waiting which the team relished. Post lunch there was an interactive session where each member had to share their best moments of 2018 and their future plan for 2019.
The session was emotional as the members were sharing their personal life with the team. The members were able to share their moments of laughter and tears with the team. This really did strengthen the bond between the team. The trip did come to an end when the team reached school by 07.30pm. It was a fun filled trip with a lot of learning and bonding.
