Report on Parent Orientation Session on XSEED MAX, Genius Corner and Math Buddy
On Saturday(24.08.19) morning with full of positive vibes, the brain storming session was
conducted for parents of Graders 3 to 7 by the resource persons of different teams such as
XSEED MAX, Genius corner and Math Buddy. The knowledge sharing session was grouped
into two batches – 1st batch from 10.00 am to 11.00 am & 2nd batch from 11.15 pm to 12.15
pm at the courtyard.
“Personalized Learning” seeks to address individual needs, skills and interest of each student.
It is a student-centric approach where learning is differentiated to suit individual student’s
needs. Three keywords of Genius Corner are ASSESS, ANALYSE and ACT. Assessment on
individual subjects for each lesson can be viewed by the parents through the Parent app. The
session was bilateral and parents were pointing out their difficulties and also gave
suggestions. Ms. Gayathri responded to all the queries and gave a clear picture about Genius
“Learning by Doing” is the core of Math Buddy; the briefing was done by Mr.Vikram.
Whether it is hands-on instruments or interactive virtual activities, we believe math is best
understood by doing it. This way, children experience math concepts that they will never

Mr.Vikram explained in detail about the parent access to Math Buddy and views the results
of each quiz. Math buddy is mobile friendly where kids can take up the quiz anytime
anywhere. Individual kits are given to each child to learn and imbibe the math concepts.
XSEED MAX blends hands-on and digital learning in classrooms and allows parents to track
each child’s assessment results. It is a 5 step experimental learning approach where the
knowledge transmission is a constructive approach that uses hands on activities.
Ms. Nandhini displayed the books that are followed for X-SEED MAX like Curriculum
manual, content book, workbook, XSEED MAX journal, practice journal and parent
handbook for parents reference. Parents expressed their views and comments about what they
feel about XSEED curriculum.
Overall three teams demonstrated the parent app and its usage on how to view their kid’s
performance and strategies to improve the same. It was an interactive session where parents
came up with questions, suggestions, inconveniences and challenges faced.
