“Empty your stomach to feed your soul”
The end of the holy month of forgiveness and blessings marks the holy Eid Festival. On 24th June 2017, we at Queen Mira International School celebrated Ramzan with all its elegance and spirituality. This celebration started with a humble note to God to thank him for whatever he has blessed us with. Ms Kalpana Karthik, Vice Principal welcomed the gathering. An in depth knowledge about the holy month of Ramadan was given by Ms. Fathima. Her enlightening presentation kept the gathering clearly informed about the significance of Ramadan. Ms Hathija and Ms Shabeena, Arabic teachers from Thakva International School were our special Guests of the day. They did explain to the children why and how Ramadan should be celebrated. They also spoke about the importance of wearing Hijab and about relationship handling. Following this questionnaire round was conducted in order to check the understanding of the children. Their active participation made the celebration a great success as the objective of the celebration was met. Ms Sujatha Guptan, the Principal delivered the vote of thanks. As the enlightening words did satisfy the soul so did the delicious Nombu Kanji that satisfied the stomach.
