Report on Univariety Career session
A career guidance session was conducted on 07.01.19 and 08.01.19 by Ms.Sushmita Shroff, Univariety. The resource person discussed about various courses and career options available in the fields of medicine and humanities for students of grades 9 to 12. She also gave a detailed session on the admission processes in various countries like US, UK and Canada. Students gained knowledge on the step by step process of application in UCAS, Common App and OUAC and the important documents that are needed for the process like Letter of recommendation from the subject teacher, statement of purpose, essay writing on the given topic etc. Students also got an idea of the various new courses like International relations, Data processing etc. She specifically mentioned about the admission process in Universities that are available for unrepresented students and students from low economical background through Coalition Application website. The students were highly interactive with the facilitator and got their queries clarified. Overall the session was useful for the students and motivated them to be highly passionate towards their career and more focused in their career.
