Swearing in Ceremony
“Leadership is about being of service to others, not being served by others. Be a mentor, not a boss.”
Queen Mira International School marches with the vision of educating the leaders of tomorrow who will change the way the world lives, learns and works. As an initiative to sharpen up the leadership qualities in a student, QMIS selects a Prefectorial body every year. Students from Grade 8, 9 & 11 were allowed to nominate themselves for the post of Head boy, Head Girl, House Captains and Vice – Captains. The prefectorial selection panel had conducted a series of activities like spot talks, situational solutions and team building activities, through which the contestant’s communication skills, problem solving skills, planning and execution skills were assessed.
The Swearing in Ceremony began at 10 am at the basket ball court on 23.06.17 (Friday). Retd. Brig. J.M.Devadass graced the occasion with his honorable presence. The Student council collected their respective flags from the guest of the day and also took the oath. The Head boy and girl delivered a short speech followed by the Chief Guests address. The vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Kalpana. It was indeed a moment of Pride! The occasion came to an end with the National Anthem.
