“A happy family is but an earlier heaven” – George Bernard Shaw
Role playing is a fun way for kindergarteners to learn social skills and develop an understanding of feelings. Kids who frequently role-play will also easily develop empathy for others. Moreover, imitating their parents is the first learning of the child even before he starts to learn alphabet.
Stimulating such skill was planned through one such activity i.e. our Family Day celebration on 23rd August 2013. Parents geared their children for the occasion. Cute little cherubs disguised as their mom, dad, aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa. Grey haired Arulprakash, girly lad Sarvesh, little lady Harshapratha with her doll were stealing the show. Besides dressing, parents had also trained their kids to share the roles of the family member taken by the kid on this day. It was a good start to take the kids into others shoes.
